Hi everyone. Welcome to Mentor Law.

Here is a summary of my personal background, education and work experience.

I am Canadian born, and my first language is English. With regard to my legal education, I have an Honours Law Degree from Queen Mary, University of London, and a Master’s Degree in International Relations from City, University of London. In addition, I have a Certificate of Qualification from the Federation of Law Societies of Canada, which represents all 14 law societies in Canada. The CQ represents that my UK law degree is the equivalent of a Canadian law degree, having successfully passed five courses at the University of British Columbia Law School.

I also have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History, and a Diploma in Education in English as a Second Language, both from the University of British Columbia.

As regards my legal work experience, I worked in two Vancouver law firms. At Klein Lawyers LLP, I was part of a team who interviewed female RCMP officers in a class action law suit. I also worked at Bronstein and Co, which represented Indigenous survivors of Canada’s residential schools. I was legal instructor to paralegal students in a Diploma Program at CDI College, Vancouver and Surrey. In addition, I tutored several private law students.

I have three decades’ teaching experience, in journalism and English as a Second Language, and 12 years’ experience teaching and working in the law. My students are all ages from all over the world. Some are absolute beginners with no knowledge of the law. Others have degrees outside the law or have non-Canadian law degrees. For many, English is their second language.

So students should feel confident in my ability as a seasoned mentor, irrespective of your cultural or religious background, age, or level of legal knowledge. Whether you are an absolute beginner, or need guidance on the finer points, Mentor Law is here to offer a warm, guiding hand through your journey.
